What is Munch Studio?
Munch Studio is our proprietary AI-powered social media platform for generating ready-to-post content and managing social media communications. Users may connect supported social media accounts (including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube), synchronize communications (including direct messages, comments and similar interactions) into a centralized inbox, respond to messages, use AI-assisted content and reply generation features, and access communication analytics. The term “Munch Studio” also refers to the website and its related services as available at www.munchstudio.com (together, the “Services”).
Acceptance of terms
This Notice is a legally binding agreement between you and Munch. If you are entering into this agreement on behalf of a business or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to this agreement.
We may change this Privacy Notice at any time and from time to time. Any such change will be effective as of the date it is posted on this page. Your continued use of the Website after the effective date of any changes to this Privacy Notice, will be deemed to constitute your acceptance of all such changes.
Children
The Services are not directed to individuals under 16. Munch does not knowingly collect or process personal data from individuals under the age of 16, and we do not assume or have control over the content uploaded by You.
If you are holding parental responsibility over an individual under 16 and believe your child has provided personal data to Munch, please contact us directly.
What kind of personal data we collect?
When visiting our website or using Munch Studio, we may collect the following data:
• Sign-up: email address, login credentials, and any business details or website URL you provide. If you use Google Sign-In, we also receive your public Google profile (name, avatar, email). See further information below under ‘External Websites’.
• Payments & plan upgrades: last four digits of your card and cardholder name, plus plan details. Payments are handled by Stripe, or, at your choice, external providers such as Amazon Pay, Link, or Cash App, whose own terms and privacy notices apply. See further information below under ‘External Websites’.
• Media library & social integrations: files you upload to your media library; public profile information and account information made available when you connect a supported social media account; communications (including direct messages, comments and conversation history, as applicable), sender/account identifiers, communication metadata (such as timestamps and message identifiers), and related analytics generated through your use of the Services.
• Contact Us/ Support: your email, IP-based location, device and browser type, and the content of your enquiry.
• Usage & log data: system events (e.g., account creation, log-ins, requests), IP address, device/OS, geographic region, feature actions, error reports, and cookie data (see “Cookies” below).
• Social media account information: When you sign in with or connect a supported social media account, we receive certain account and profile information made available by the relevant platform pursuant to your authorization, such as your name, profile picture (avatar), email address (where available), account or page identifier, and other profile information necessary to provide the Services.
• Social inbox: If you choose to connect supported social media accounts, we synchronize communications (including direct messages, comments and related metadata) to enable you to view and manage conversations through a centralized inbox, respond through Munch Studio, generate AI-assisted reply suggestions, marketing content and communication summaries, and provide communication analytics.
You do not have to provide any of the above-mentioned personal data, and you have no legal obligation to do so. That being said, without it, we will not be able to provide our Services, in part or in full.
How do we collect personal data?
We collect the personal data at registration, throughout your use of the Services, and any time you communicate with us, as follows:
• Directly from you (e.g., when you register, upload content or communicate with us).
• Automatically from your device, through cookies and similar technologies.
• Our service providers (e.g., payment processors that confirm your payment status).
How do we use the personal data collected?
We collect, use, and process the personal data provided to establish and manage our relations with you and your related business or interest. We shall further process personal data for the following purposes:
• Service delivery & administration – As needed to operate Munch Studio, the Social Inbox features, our website, and related services.
• Service optimization – refine performance, interface, and future features based on aggregated usage insights (legitimate interests).
• Error monitoring & debugging – analyze logs to detect, investigate, and resolve bugs or user difficulties (legitimate interests).
• Billing & payments – process invoices and manage our financial relationship under the contract.
• User communications – send service-related messages and respond to enquiries.
• Terms enforcement – uphold our contracts, terms, conditions, and policies.
• Analytics – assess how the platform and its features are used, provide communication analytics, and inform product decisions (legitimate interests).
• Marketing & offers – promote Munch Studio and tailor offers, relying on legitimate interests or consent where required.
• Security & misuse prevention – detect, investigate, and mitigate abuse or unlawful activity (legitimate interests).
• Legal & regulatory compliance – meet legal obligations, respond to regulatory requests, and defend legal claims.
AI Features. Certain features of Munch Studio use artificial intelligence technologies to generate video content, suggested replies, marketing content, and summaries based on communications synchronized through connected social media accounts. Communications may be processed by third-party AI service providers acting on our behalf. We do not use such communications to train third-party AI foundation models.
Cookies
We use cookies other online identifiers and tools on our Platform and on our Services (together "cookies"). In general, Cookies are small text files sent by a web server to your web browser/app and saved locally on your end-point device. The cookie allows the server to uniquely identify the browser on each page. These cookies are essential for the performance of the Platform and its various features. Our Services may integrate with third-party platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. Where you choose to connect such accounts, We access and process information made available through the applicable APIs solely to provide the functionality you request within the Services, including publishing content and, where supported by the connected platform, displaying, managing and responding to communications associated with your connected accounts.
We are not responsible or liable for the practices employed by external Websites linked to or from our Website nor the information or content contained therein. When you use a link to go from our Website to an external Website, our Privacy Notice is no longer in effect, and you are bound by the terms of use and privacy Notice of the external site – meaning, your browsing and interaction on any external Websites, including Internet sites which have a link on our Website, is subject to that external Website's own rules and policies.
For example, our Services include integration with YouTube API, Our Services also integrate with the YouTube Data API to enable you to publish content and, where supported, view, manage and respond to communications associated with your YouTube account directly through Munch Studio. We may access content, comments, related metadata and other information made available through the YouTube APIs solely to provide these features, according to YouTube's terms of use, and privacy Notice. You may revoke the access as explained here – https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
Retention
We retain each category of Personal Data for no longer than necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (e.g., tax, accounting, other legal requirements).
Conversations and communications synchronized from connected social media accounts are retained until deleted by the user or upon a valid deletion request, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law.

Due to Restructuring

When we transfer personal data relating to EU individuals outside the EEA, we conform with applicable regulations.
How do We keep personal data secure?
We use security measures designed to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the personal data under our control. For certain services, data transfers are encrypted during transmission. In addition, information that we store is maintained and archived on secure, hardened servers that are hosted on industry standard secured data centers. Access to this information is protected by multiple layers of controls, including firewalls, role-based access controls, authentication mechanisms and monitoring. The information is backed up, and archives are stored in a secure location. Munch is taking reasonable action to keep your information safe. Nevertheless, Munch is not responsible for any damages to the information, or to the functionality of the Platform, caused by reasons beyond its control, force majeure, cyber-attacks, pandemics, strikes, etc.

We are committed to protecting your privacy rights and ensuring transparency in how we handle your Personal Data.
You have the right to control your personal data, including the right to request its deletion.

Munch Studio uses AI and machine-learning technologies to generate content, suggest replies, assist with communications and provide other requested features. These functionalities do not produce decisions having significant effects on individuals.
• Opt Out Signals – Some US state privacy laws allow users to use opt-out preference signals [such as Global Privacy Control (GPC)] to communicate their privacy choices. While we strive to honor such signals, they are usually restricted to specific browser types and other technical restrictions. Please note that your opt-out preference signal applies only to the browser, device, or technology you use to opt out. These signals are offered by third parties that we do not control.
Disconnecting of social accounts & data deletion: Users may disconnect connected social media accounts at any time. Disconnecting an account will stop future synchronization of communications. Previously synchronized information will remain in your account unless you request its deletion in accordance with this Notice.
We will never discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
How to Exercise Your Rights:
You may submit privacy-rights requests by emailing us at privacy@getMunch.com.
Please specify "Privacy Request" in the subject and fill in the specific right to be fulfilled (for example, "Data subject Deletion Request" for deletion requests). Within the e-mail, specify your request and mention your account email address used for log-in to the account.
Response Timeline. We will do our best to respond to any inquiry within a reasonable timeframe, and in any case no longer than 30 days.
Appeal. If we deny your request, you may appeal by emailing privacy@munchstudio.com with "Appeal" in the subject line; we will respond to your appeal within 60 days.
Additional Information:
We may need to verify your identity before processing your request; When you make a request, we will first have to verify your identity, and only once we have verified and authenticated your identity, we will continue fulfilling your rights. Hence, When a request is made, we may ask for further information to authenticate your identity. Please note that we may decline any unverified request.
Certain legal obligations may prevent us from fulfilling some requests, or require further retention.
Data that has been previously shared with social media platform services through your use of our integration or log in features will be subject to the related social platform's data retention policies.
